Ms. Krista Broschart started her marital arts journey, in 2001, at Chung’s Martial Arts in Bel Air, Maryland. She practiced Haidong Gumdo there, under the instruction of Master Casey Reynolds and Instructor John Thomas. She trained there for 2 years, eventually earning her purple belt.
In 2003, Ms. Krista moved to Delta, Pennsylvania, which halted her training.
In 2008, she resumed her training in Haidong Gumdo at the YMCA in Abingdon, Maryland under Instructor John Thomas who was now teaching there. Under his instruction, she earned her Black Belt in Hai Dong Gumdo.
In the same year she returned to Haidong Gumdo, Ms. Krista also started training in Taekwondo at AAA U.S. Taekwondo College in Abingdon. She began her instruction in Taekwondo under Grandmaster Kwang Hyun Lee.
In 2018, after Master Shelley Crawford announced that she would be moving to North Carolina, Ms. Krista took over her role as Business Manager at Elite Core Martial Arts. She continued her training in Taekwondo under the instructors there and earned her Black Belt in Taekwondo in 2019.
Ms. Krista holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Haidong Gumdo and a 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo. She has also studied Hapkido.
As Business Manager, Ms. Krista is in charge of day to day operations at the school and maintains the facilities. She also assists with some classes.
